Religious experience, thought, and expression.
I study religious experience as lived practice, cultural form, and cognitive phenomenon.
The Esoteric Theology of Philip K. Dick
This volume commemorates the 50th anniversary of Philip K. Dick's transformative 1974 mystical experiences. Contributing authors examine the enduring significance of PKD through diverse scholarly perspectives engaging with his self-understanding as Christian, gnostic, mystic, and theologian.
Edited with G. Sieg, the collection challenges the misconception of Dick as exclusively a countercultural gnostic — identifying his esoteric Christian gnosis as the basis of an ultimately moral, consistently humanistic theology.

Still in the research phase. Working through transcriptions of PKD's unpublished notebooks and mapping his engagement with Teilhard de Chardin's eschatology.
-
First round of drafts complete. Authors are now on their second round of revisions.

Currently in the second round of beta testing.
